Function of Main Bearing Cap
The function of the main bearing of the oil machine is to support the crankshaft to ensure the normal operation and power output of the crankshaft.
1: Prevent dust and other foreign matter from invading the raceway of the rolling elements;
2: Ensure that the lubricant (grease) only acts on the rolling elements and raceways without overflowing.
3: To a certain extent, prevent the rolling element cage and other vulnerable parts from being damaged by external force
The Types of Main Bearing Cap
1. The sliding bearing is composed of two halves, the upper half is installed on the body, and the lower half is fixed on the body by a bearing cover (tile cover).
First install the bearing bush on the body, then install the crankshaft, and finally install the tile cover to complete.
2. For the main bearing of the roller bearing type, the outer ring of the bearing is installed into the body, the inner ring and the roller are installed on the crankshaft, and they are installed from the rear of the body when assembling the crankshaft.
